START WITH A CARD SKETCH

Let's face it, sometimes we just can't get started when beginning to create a card.  We sit at our desk,  we want so badly to start the process,  and then.....nothing comes to mind.  You're not alone, it happens to me often.  We need a little direction to get us started.  There is a great way to help you get your motor going - a Card Sketch!

Here is the Card Sketch I found on Pinterest, and from there came three different cards in no time at all.

The measurements for each layer are written right on this card sketch sample. From there, I start the process of cardmaking. Card base is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Next layer 4 3/8" x3,  and top layer 3 7/8" x 2 5/8"

In my first card, I used the Snailed It Bundle of Products. I added an additional layer of 5 1/4' x 4 over the card base before adding my next two layers. Popped it all up on dimensionals, added a ribbon for embellishment and a die cut snail, cut directly with the die using the coordinating designer series paper.
Up next, I used the Hydrangea Haven Suite of products. I stamped some small florals on the base of the card to give it more interest, stamped and die cut the Hydrangea flower, and popped up my sentiment. I like to fussy cut the sentiment sometimes so it doesn't distract from the layout of the card.

And lastly, I used the awesome Butterfly Brilliance Suite of Products. Again, I added to the card base by stamping some small florals for background interest. I die cut the Butterflies using the Butterfly Dies, added pearls and then the sentiment.
I hope this info will jumpstart your card making process next time you struggle to create a card.

Floating Panel Fun Fold Card using Stampin Up Welcoming Windows Bundle.

Floating Panel Card - Welcoming Windows

Hello and Welcome to Stamp With June!

Today I am using the Welcoming Windows Stamp Set and coordinating Dies to create this Floating Panel Fun Fold card.

I love to do some  "house painting" by changing up the colors of each card I'm making with this set. With a Collection of 50 different Stampin' Up! colors to choose from the possibilities are endless. It reminds me so much of when I lived in New York, we had a little Cape Cod style house on Long Island, and we had this one front window that had shutters.  I use to paint those shutters so often, the neighbors  always asked what the next color would be! And of course, the front door would match! Oh how I loved that little house where we raised our two children - happy memories.

I have an April To Go Class using this set,  You will create 8 cards, 2 of each design (card above is not one of them) from the comfort of your own home! If you would like more info I will include the link below.

Here are the cutting measurements for this card:

Card Base:  5 1/2" x 5 1/2" - score one side at 4 1/4" - Early Espresso Cardstock

Lower Strip: 5 1/2" x 1 1/4" - Early Espresso Cardstock

Designer Series Paper Layer: two at 5 1/4" x 1":  In Good Taste DSP
