The box itself is really quite simple to make. It does get a little tricky when placing your elements inside of it. Warning: Patience is required! LOL. The great thing about this fun card is that it will fit in a standard size envelope. Folds up nice and easy.
Hope you have fun making this box card. You can choose your own cardstock and designer series paper along with what stamps you want to use.
I sized this box for standard envelope but of course you could make a bigger version and make a special envelope if you wish.
Cardstock Base
9 X 5 1/2
score along the long side at 2 1/8, 4 1/4, 6 3/8 & 8 1/2
score along the short side down the middle at 2 3/4
Cut 4 vertical score lines down to the middle score and remove narrow top flap. Add designer series paper to 7 panels - or wait and decorate once the box is assembled.
Back outer panel layers (space for greeting and message)
1. 5 1/4 X 1 7/8
2. 5 X 1 5/8
Seven (7) Designer Series paper panels
2 1/2 X 1 7/8
Two inside mechanism pieces
3 1/8 X 1 1/2 scored on long side at 1/2 X 2 5/8
fold into Z shapes and glue inside of box
*Tip: You may find it easier to decorate the inside pieces before placing inside - just ensure elements don't compromise the side folds as this will stop the box closing properly.
